One of the most densely populated municipalities in Europe, Issy-les-Moulineaux is a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, France. Along with the other communes of Chaville, Meudon, Vanves and Ville-d’Avray, it became part of the Communaute d’agglomeration Arc de Seine. The city of Paris was enlarged on by annexing neighboring communes on January 1, 1860. About a third of the commune of Issy-les-Moulineaux was annexed to Paris and now forms the neighborhood of Javel, in the 15th arrondisement of Paris.
