Prix de l`Arc de Triomphe

The Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is one of the most important horse racing meetings on the European race calendar. It is the French equivalent of England’s Ascot and is held each October. The race is open to thoroughbred horses aged three years and over and is held at the Hippodrome de Longchamp in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. The race offers lot of excitement with every punters cheering on their favorite stead to finish first. It is the richest race in Europe and is often abbreviated to just the “Arc”, and attracts the winners from the biggest races in England, Germany, Ireland, France and Italy.
Entry fee to the race is to be confirmed. However, in 2007, it started from €4.
Getting there by Bus: On race days there is a free shuttle bus that operates with pick-ups approximately every 10 minutes between 11:00am-4:30pm from the following places:- Porte d’Auteuil (RATP station)
- Porte Maillot (the 244 bus stop)
- Pont de Sevres (RATP station)
- Suresnes (Longchamp-Mont Valerien SNCF station and T2 Suresnes-Longchamp station)
After the race there is a return shuttle also.
